Thank You cards make me smile. It's a feeling of coziness that warms my soul when I reflect on a Thank You card. These special words from someone are great and I love to hear how I helped them. I may read them more than once. I hold onto them, I just can't throw them away. Don't hesitate to send a Thank You card. Let that special person know you appreciate how they helped you. It's inspiring!

Touching people's lives is the best part of what I do. Thank you cards make life awesome.

Dallas Market with My Family

This past weekend...

I took the family with me to Dallas market with me.  It was awesome to show them it was all about. Rae is at an age that she is soaking it all up and I love doing that with her. Family road trips are so fun.

Spent the day at Ikea. I had a friend tease me once that I have a knack for finding the one vintage looking product among the thousands of modern pieces. New lights for the house! Can't wait!!

 

It was a wonderful time and I love showing it all off to my family!

Team Member Spotlight: Fallon is Rockin!

 

I have a team that is trustworthy, hardworking and dependable. We will be doing a spotlight on each one to show off their greatness and talents. First up is Fallon! Fallon is team member that is sweet, intelligent, loyal and detail oriented.

 

Fallon brings her talents to our team and makes us stronger.

 

 

We all love ombre! Fallon is one of our team members that we turn to when we want a beautiful ombre. Fallon gets it done without effort and it looks so pretty every time. Fallon rocks the ombre! Such a talent!

 

 

Fallon also helps in our packing area when we need additional help. She helps without hesitating and always with a good attitude. Fallon works our twine, pretty tissue paper and note cards and makes every thing look pretty for our Gleeful Peacock customers.

 

Fallon has high standards for her work and is very protective of those she loves. 

Thank you Fallon for all the greatness you contribute to our team. We appreciate your hard work every day.



My Closet Gives Me Peace

We moved recently and along with that comes organizing. It's not all done in a day or ten days. Don't you agree?

Tired of searching for clothes in boxes, I had to get my closet done. It's the first time I share a closet with Mik. Let's just say it has taken some dedication and organization not to take over the whole thing. So I cleaned it out. It was dreadful. It's super nice to have access to it all again. Happy to wear my complete outfits again because I sure did miss my scarves. This has given me peace and I love that.

Atlanta Market in the Winter

Cake Box Cookies Forever

Cake Box Cookies Forever

 

Surely you have heard of cake box cookies. You know easy yet yummy cookies made using a cake box mix. I baked some recently and they were puffy, brownie-like cookies. These Double Chocolate Chip and Pecan Cookies must happen in your kitchen!

I used the recipe on the side of the cake box mix. Easy peasy! Keep it simple. Really.

Double Chocolate Chip and Pecan Cookies

1 Duncan Hines Double Fudge Cake Box Mix
2 eggs
1 stick of butter melted
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup of chocolate chips (white or milk chocolate) 1/2 cup of chopped pecans

Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes for soft cookies or 14 minutes for crispy cookies. I baked them at 14 minutes for a crispy on the edge, soft on the inside center. The recipe asked for brown sugar , but I omitted it. I did not need extra sugar in this recipe.

Makes 3 dozens
